I have never fed raw food before, can you help?

Yes, we can help.  We have added a raw food calculator to website.  You can work out your daily feeding allowance and then select one of our easy to order Hampers.  If you would like help in putting together a specific order or are still unsure then please email us at info@rawtdoor.co.uk

I have heard negative things about feeding raw?

Please do not let these things worry you – They are ill informed myths.  A balanced raw diet can only help your dog.

Will I have to nutritionally balance each meal? I worry I will get this wrong.

Please don’t worry about balancing each meal. We can do this for you through our complete meals and hampers.

 A dog can gain a balanced diet over a number of weeks, not just each day.  So, even when feeding ‘Do it Yourself’ diet  balanced is achieved over time, following the 80/10/10 principle.

How should I handle rawtdoor products?

As with handling any raw meat and before you touch anything else, you should ensure that your hands are washed with soap and water. Clean any juice spills to ensure safety for both you and your dogs. Do not allow cross-contamination between surfaces of rawtdoor foods and cooked meats. Always make sure that your dogs bowl is washed clean before and after each meal.

How should I store rawtdoor products?

All of our products are delivered frozen, so can be placed into any suitable freezer when delivered.  Defrost on a tray in fridge, away from food intended for human consumption.  To be eaten with in 2 Days.

I am worried about feeding raw bones, are they dangerous?

Please do not worry about feeding raw bones.  Dogs are designed to eat them.  Always feed raw bones, never cooked and always supervised.
